This is for sure the biggest dictionary app with most words - I think more than a million. It is an offline dictionary which is great. The user interface occurs a bit complicated but after a few minutes of experimenting I understood the different ways of searching for words. It doesn't have an in built vocabulary trainer but it saves the search history and you can mark your favorites - so you can review and learn what you looked up with these functions. Very close to a professional dictionary made of paper.

I bought this, thinking I'd have the perfect English/German dictionary. However, it is very geared to native German speakers. The German words have no phonetic key (though some have audio pronunciations), and all notes and clarifications are in German. The German notes exist both in German and English dictionary entries, and are ONLY in German. If this is supposed to be a bilingual tool, notes and phonetic keys should be available in BOTH languages, otherwise it renders the app only 50% as useful is it ought to be, especially at this price ($100 USD). Thinking of asking for a refund. Langenscheidt should know better.
